‬Ben is serious‭, ‬committed‭, ‬and forthright which makes him a fantastic asset on tasks that need to be accomplished with speed and quality and often require feedback/on the job decision making‭. ‬On the farm‭, ‬Ben is great at all our field work tasks and in the event’s space‭, ‬he is a go to for making sure everything is ready for the public‭. ‬

Carol is smart‭, ‬organised‭, ‬efficient‭, ‬and loves her maths‭; ‬all characteristics that have made her the core of our wash/pack setup‭. ‬She is a natural systems person and is able to keep track of the chaos that we and our chef customers throw at her with a calm and competent demeanour‭. ‬In the field‭, ‬she’s our fastest transplanter‭, ‬an efficient harvester‭, ‬and a joyful presence with her phenomenal laugh and fantastic attitude‭. ‬

With the perfect blend of speed and attention to detail‭, ‬Cassiem is an easy choice for almost any job on the farm‭. ‬Soft‭ ‬spoken‭, ‬steady‭, ‬and respectful of those around him‭, ‬everyone on the team enjoys working with Cassiem‭. ‬Probably our fastest harvester‭, ‬the best propagation mix maker‭, ‬one of the most efficient at all field tasks‭, ‬and now‭, ‬taking on more of the farm irrigation setup‭, ‬Cassiem is a key player in our ability to farm well‭. ‬

 ‬Curious‭, ‬patient‭, ‬intelligent‭, ‬and thoughtful‭, ‬Joe’s range of skills runs the gamut from handyman‭, ‬tractor and delivery driver to salesperson‭. ‬His easy going personality‭, ‬natural‭ ‬warmth‭, ‬and excellent communication skills endears him to everyone he meets‭. ‬

A natural green thumb‭, ‬Johannes has been a student of plants and gardens for decades‭. ‬He has an immense knowledge of plants‭, ‬insects‭, ‬and farm related topics and a continuous thirst to learn more‭; ‬with all this insight‭, ‬we almost always put the more obscure and unique farm tasks on his to do list‭. ‬Also very handy around tools‭, ‬irrigation‭, ‬and vehicles‭, ‬Johannes is a real‭ ‬jack of all trades‭. ‬Almost always smiling‭, ‬forever wise‭, ‬we love our farm days with Johannes‭. ‬

‬Always one step ahead‭, ‬Mac is full of hustle‭, ‬commitment‭, ‬and great attitude‭. ‬He came on board to help Martin with our events space and has shown us over and over that he is willing and able to take on any task with eagerness‭. ‬Mac’s always there with a warm greeting‭, ‬hustling from place to place‭. ‬If there’s anyone who perpetually stands on the balls of his feet‭, ‬it’s Mac‭. ‬Complement this with a lightness and easy personality‭, ‬it’s easy to see why Mac is a favourite choice by all for a work partner‭. ‬

Judith handles a mish mash of administration, basic system creation, and some logistics. She enjoys collaborating with a team that focuses on a strong commitment to sustainable farming and aligned values. Judith is happy to be contributing in any small manner, to something that has a positive impact on the earth, even if its through endless spreadsheets, from which she derives a peculiar satisfaction.

‬With a fine dining front of house background‭, ‬a childhood spent absorbing conversations around plants and their myriad‭ ‬uses‭, ‬Rebecca is a natural fit to lead our farm event management‭. ‬She is an absolute natural at identifying all the details that‭ ‬we didn’t realise exist and creating systems to make sure everything is taken care of to create a warm and unique event‭. ‬On top of this‭,‬‭ ‬her clear and engaging writing‭, ‬love of organising‭, ‬and great decision making enable her to guide our messaging and social media and streamline a range of farm and event processes‭. ‬

Farm chef extraordinaire‭, ‬Caitlin never ceases to impress us with the menu she concocts using our crop lists throughout‭ ‬the season‭. ‬She came to us as a private chef looking for farming experience and then stuck around for events as we found a myriad of ways to utilise her many talents‭. ‬We’re not quite sure how her super organised nature handles the chaos and our oftentimes ridiculous farm setup but we sure are glad‭ ‬she’s able to as she’s the perfect chef for our farm‭.‬

Quiet and steady‭, ‬Martin always seems unfazed by the often eclectic‭, ‬sometimes seemingly absurd‭, ‬generally last minute nature of building tasks we throw at him‭. ‬Everything he does is done with great quality‭, ‬phenomenal insight and creativity‭, ‬and pride‭. ‬Starting with our beautiful events buildings‭, ‬the decks that surround them‭, ‬stretching to simple benches for our open day‭,‬‭ ‬and always including tasks like a last minute roof or doors to keep bees out of kitchens‭, ‬Martin’s abilities continue to surpass our expectations‭. ‬Completely understated and humble‭, ‬he is the true craftsman of the farm‭.‬

Jaco’s life took a rather sharp turn when he met Iming‭. ‬Before his better sense could get him off this train‭, ‬he found himself in talks about holding turkeys and sitting atop a tractor and wondering happily where his Excel spreadsheets had gone‭. ‬The repetitive‭ ‬details of farming are not for him but Jaco has discovered that the farm can suck in any free time he has‭- ‬from making sure golf‭ ‬carts are working‭, ‬sourcing everything for our events space‭, ‬building beautiful longtables and the structure of our longtable building‭, ‬to harrowing beds‭. ‬His clarity of thought‭, ‬natural entrepreneurship skills‭, ‬and yes‭, ‬Excel talents‭, ‬remind us to peer out from on top of the forest of weeds to retain a plan for where we are going‭.

A lifelong lover of biology, plants, animals, nature, systems, and growing food with a real knack for always being dirty, Iming found her vocation in farming. Everything about farming well, in conjunction with nature, fascinates her- from peering into soil science, figuring out cover crops that work for this farm, exploring interesting hedgerow plants, chatting to chefs and people who love food, continuously learning about how plants have played a role in art/medicine/food/fabric/craft, to hoeing and more. She is giddy that she has found this lens to the world and gets to figure out how to make it a viable business.
